Between Lake and Mountains
We developed this tour in collaboration with Stefano Cantiero, a man who knows all about the gastronomic traditions of the land that lays between Venice and Lake Garda.
Tourists visiting Garda usually do not go beyond the exploration of the overcrowded coastal towns. And it’s a pity not to go up the slope of Monte Baldo, where you would discover a different world, full of all kinds of surprises, both historical and culinary.
Hidden from prying eyes are the malgas, mountain dairy farms that still produce tasty handmade cheese. You’ll reach farms where you can enjoy both the stunning view and the typical dishes of the mountains. You’ll visit an ancient hermitage where monks produce aromatic oils, waiting for you, and of course, excellent wines, of which only Bardolino is widely known.
